we are not clones

Hello foster parents!
Hope your child is developing and getting the love and attention they need and i hope they are bringing you and your family new lessons of love, patience and uniqueness..

Just a reminder to all parents: we were all made to love, be loved, heal, help, explore...each of us having our own unique pattern.
If god wanted us to all be the same or clones, we would have no brain..
Please allow your child his or her own space for making their own choices---even if we don't agree..they need to excersice this thought process of how to make a decision or a choice.
let them know they never have to follow the others-as most kids do and are trained to do...why do you think all our girls liked uggs at the same time??
teach them young to enjoy being different and standing firm on whatever they believe, why is this important--so we dont repeat what was done to the native americans, slavery, or the holocaust...or the way the Irish were treated when they got here..
If your child is not comfortable saying "no" effectivly- they are likley to follow the crowd..and be hanging out with the bully--who beat up another child, as they watched.... this is all relevant.
you don't want your kid to "mind his business" when it comes to someone being hurt...teach them to stand up for themselves and others who are wronged...then , and only then we wont repeat history

please feel free to post any questions, i am only trying to give you a heads up ...xo

thinking of adopting

hi blog family!
beautiful day, time is passing, please take each day and ask: how can I be of service? If you are thinking of adopting there are many sites so do your homework. I came across a very informative one you may want to look at:

 http://www.americanadoptions.com/adoption/link_resource

always do your homework as there are many agency's. Some kid, somewhere is in need of your love to make our future better. If this is sitting on your heat, follow your instict. Go into it fully understanding that kids need love but they also need to find themselves and they can only do that if you allow them time to process what happend to put them in care and be open and honest. All teens go through something but if you have a family that is open, honest and loving, you can't go wrong!

Today remind your kids how special they are and let them know they have divine purpose, the earlier, the better xo Tanya

new Year

Hi foster parents!
excited to have you hear. We will be focusing on issues that will help you during your foster parenting. Please feel free to leave a comment and thanks. Tanya

New year should be the focus. having your kid write down their goals for the new year and what goals the family has is a new start!

Be reasonable on letting write what they want and guide them to a better solution if you find it not fitting, (i want 10 X boxes)..
perhaps you could say ok what chores can you take on to get money to buy one OR how much of your allowance you get (that they get monthly from the state) wlll you have to save to get that Xbox? teaching them financial and personal responsibility!

Fosterparent Parent roles

hi foster parents! please share this information with your foster kids-teach them they are special and need to be groomed for their life mission. Your job is to guide them to greatness.

Let your foster kids know:
I know it was hard being in care, especially if you were taken from your parents, they died or they gave you away.
I have good news for them that should help them get it!
Tell them: Don't carry bad emotions into adulthood, express what you need to now.
Work on how to make you better now.
Yesterday already happend!  No crying over spilt milk-unless it's to get it out and process!

A PARENTS ONLY JOB SOMETIMES--IS TO GET YOU HERE!
yes, you heard me right. not all parents were meant to raise the children they birth.
Why?
Because the universe has many good people waiting to help  in your life journey.

You must always remind them: remember this life is not about YOU, it's about WHAT you do to save or change a life.  What example are you setting for your foster kids to make their lives better and more productive?
They were born with a gift that no one else has.
They weas born to keep someone else from dying or being sad-
to find a cure for cancer, AIDS-
You were born to help these kids become great leaders of our future - who will rule this planet with their new innovative ideas!
You were born for a reason as well, to assist them!

Now that you know this - teach them
-live your life EVERY day thinking: what is my mission TODAY to find out what my gifts are AND how can I help save or change a life today?
Your problems always seem smaller when you are helping others. Things may be rough at times-as life bring many things our way-especially fosterkids it seems but don't take it personal, consider it a challenge or lesson to learn.
When their back is against the wall- will they come out fighting or wither away because they are scared? NOT!
They came this far - certainly nothing is worse than losing a parent or siblings to foster care! If they made it through- tell them to think of why and then why not you?
Tell them: not everyone is made as strong as you-that is why you are chosen!
Life has many challenges-but they must face them with their head high and walk proud because the universe needs them and someone needs your help and theirs-

who are you going to help while helping yourself become the great star that you are?
Tell them to: Go out into the world each day shinning like a star! You have divine purpose xo Tanya
